We offer high quality Golden Retrievers dogs and are listed with the AKC as Breeders of Heart. To receive this merit is a multistep process. Bred with H.E.A.R.T. is a new way to engage, encourage and recognize all breeders who meet specific health testing standards and who participate in continuing education. Our puppies are $2,000, plus tax.
We are selective in who we share our puppies with, so it is best to fill out an application first. After approval, then submit the application fee of $135. The application fee is applied to the sales tax, but is non-refundable if you decide not to get a puppy. We certainly do love our little sweethearts and feel a definite responsibility to give them good homes. The application page shares a list of questions, but mostly is for the purpose of helping us get to know you, so please expand on anything that helps us to know you better. We like to have confidence that this is a good fit for all involved.
We encourage you to come visit us after the puppies turn 4-6 weeks of age, as their little personalities are becoming more evident by that age. Visitors are welcome by scheduled appointments.
Once the application is received and approved, the next step will be to pay the application fee. This reserves a puppy for you from the chosen litter.
When you are sure which puppy you would like to bring home, then you will notify us and half of the total cost of the puppy ($1,000) is then due. If more then one person wants the same puppy, priority is given to those who paid their application fee first. If more then one person wants the same puppy, priority is given to those who paid their application fee first. This may be done at any time along the way.
Once your puppy has been reserved, the last payment is due by pick up day.
Puppies are sent home AFTER eight weeks with their mother, this is non-negotiable, as it is what is best for your puppy.
On pick up day you will be given an AKC folder that includes vaccination, litter certificate, health records, and papers for registration with the AKC. Please know that we do not offer breeding rights, so there is this restriction with the AKC. Puppies are also given a goodie bag that includes either a toy or blanket that has their mother and litter mates sent on it. Puppies are de-wormed at two, four, six, and eight weeks. A health record including the veterinary visit and date of vaccinations(Parvo, Distemper, and Influenza vaccinations) will all be sent home in a folder.
As the puppies grow, we like to text pictures, and/or videos to your phone. We do endeavor to keep our website up to date with individual puppy pictures, and their availability status.
We like to introduce our puppies to... children, crate time, noises, leash, and grooming tools, etc. Puppies will ride in a vehicle with their littermates to condition them for travel. Potty training usually starts by 5 weeks. We do also talk to our puppies and initiate the learning of simple commands such as "go potty, come, and sit."
We offer a two year health guarantee.
We are confident you will be completely happy with you future companion, but if circumstances should require you to give up your dog, we are here to support you, and if necessary welcome them back into our home.
*We LOVE receiving picture updates as your puppies grow! It warms our hearts to see them enjoying their new lives!
